Role Title Manager SDS (Student Development & Support)
Reports to-Head-SDS
Reported By-Individual Contributor Role


The Manager SDS will be responsible for developing & Support activities on Campus, responsible for oversight and attainment of Campus Objectives for student retention, satisfaction and effective handling of student complaints, orientation, and other key processes.


Job Description of SDS Manager:

To increase student retention by providing personal contact that student often needs and request, thereby connecting them to the institution.
To facilitate the transition of all new students, the first year, transfer and graduate students, into the institution/college life.
To assist Students in overcoming educational and personal problems.
To work with faculty and students on providing peer support opportunities- Buddy System.
To provide counseling to students experiencing problems that could be potentially disruptive to their successful academic, interpersonal and campus adjustment.
To assist students in learning new and more effective ways to cope with stress and disappointment, resolve the crisis, deals with specific problems or habits, and manage their lives.
To identify systemic and personal conditions that may impede student academic and developing appropriate interventions
To use student misconduct to educate students on critical issues such as tolerance, good citizenship, substance abuse, and relationship violence
To help student access campus resources that will enhance their ability to be academically successful.
To review and use available data about student academic and educational needs, performance, aspirations, and problems.
Helping students understand and comply with institutional requirements.
Referring students to appropriate resources on and off campus.
To provide social and cultural activities that enhance the education and personal development of students.
To provide students with an opportunity to understand community social issues.
To develop sports, recreation and in house programs based on a student-centered philosophy emphasizing the overall quality of life.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE Minimum Masters degree in relevant field with at least 6-10years of relevant work experience.

Strategy Development- formulates a strategy on products & services, anticipates and is responsive to industry market trends by strategic decision making; clearly communicates the vision how, why and when and has enough buy-in down the line in the Academy.

Education Sector Expertise - Possesses a deep understanding of the location's history of education, its institutions, as well as the current political, economic and social conditions and can anticipate trends for the future; Understands Pearl Academys Education Business model of academia and revenue generation

Salary: INR 5,00,000 - 8,00,000 P.A.
